Amit Anand

Co-Founder & Managing Partner

Think like a beginner.

In the beginner’s mind there are many possibilities, in the experts mind there are few. When we started Jungle most investors told us that we wont be able to raise even $5m for our first fund as no one had raised a early stage venture fund for investing in SEAsia.

If you were to start a company, what values would you build it on?

A team is not a group of people that work together. A team is a group of people that trust each other.

For me, trust and empowerment is critical to everything in life whether it is having a happy family or building a successful team. You may get it wrong with one person but the other 99% make it worth creating an environment where everyone feels you got their back - no matter what!

What insight has your founders brought you?

Being the best in world at something!

One of the things that has inspired me the most is how all of our founders exhibit this deep passion to be the best in the world at the thing they do. They are unwavering in this pursuit and this has often helped me think about our business in a different light.
